Delivery

We will dispatch your yarn as soon as possible after purchase, normally within 3 working days. Royal Mail services from Orkney by sea and air are very dependant on,amongst other things, weather conditions. There may therefore be delays totally outwith our control. Please note that if you are an international buyer, you may also have to pay a customs charge on receipt of your package and this is your responsibility.

Within the UK Royal Mail 1^st Class is used. International orders are sent by Royal Mail International Standard service. Royal Mail say they aim to deliver within the UK on the next working day, but there is often an extra day needed to deliver from Orkney. For Europe Royal Mail says 3-5 working days and for the rest of the world it is 5-7 working days. Please note that local delivery services outside UK may delay delivery beyond the Royal Mail aims.

A Royal Mail certificate of posting will be obtained when parcels are dispatched, but this does not allow for any tracking of a parcel.

Please wait at least 5 working days for UK deliveries and at least 10 working days for international deliveries before contacting Orkney Wool about a delayed parcel. Please check first that the parcel isn't being held at your local Post Office or Sorting Office.

Refunds cannot be issued until after the Royal Mail missing packages period for your location. Orkney Wool is not responsible for delays or missing parcels where an incorrect or incomplete delivery address was given.
